PENSACOLA, FL -- Evangelist Steve Hill visited the Brownsville Revival on February 7 and gave a stirring message on the events and times that are in the world today.

He began the sermon by speaking about the prophet Daniel and how he lived more than 2,600 years ago. Hill talked about how Daniel saw the future and recorded what he saw in the Book of Daniel.
Daniel was carried off by King Nebuchadnezzar to Babylon when he was a teenager and was used tremendously in the realm of dream interpretation. He proved himself to be wiser than Babylonian astrologers and magicians. Daniel was an amazing man. He interpreted dreams for Nebuchadnezzar and read the supernatural handwriting on the wall that prophesied the fall of Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom. Daniel ultimately held a prominent position in the Persian Empire under King Cyrus. The first half of the book of Daniel deals with Daniel and his personal experiences, but the second half of the book deals with things to come forth concerning the Jewish people.

Hill spoke about the events in the future and how Christians can rejoice in the future foretold in the Book of Daniel. He went on to say that this would prove to be a difficult time for the nonbeliever. Hill spoke of his former days as a drug addict and how he used to read the Book of Revelation when he was drunk. "We would read the Book of Revelation stoned out of our minds on pot or LSD. It was a scary thing, there’s not a movie that comes close to this book. Then I got saved and it was even scarier, because I understood it."
How sweet it is to read the word and get comfort from the prophecies of the Old Testament. With all the turmoil in the world right now, I’m not worried. I can lay my head on the pillow at night and sleep. My wife will tell you that I don’t have a problem with sleeping.

Daniel 12:1-4 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise, shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

The ushers went forth and gave every one a star as a symbol of things to come - to shine as stars from heaven. Hill encouraged the people to paste the star inside the book of Daniel in the verse where they will shine forever and ever.

Hill went into his sermon and began to explain the difference between the wisdom of God and the wisdom of man. "Many today have earthly wisdom and your influence shines brightly in this temporal world. They are wise when it concerns earthly wisdom. They have extreme knowledge in a certain field. Most of our brilliant minds can be found in the area of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Medicine, and Computer Science. It has been said that human knowledge doubles every five years. The electronic and information age doubles. I want to visit some of the wisest minds. If you are out there and are one of those gifted ones, beware. A man named Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived. Solomon’s wisdom was given to him by God, it wasn’t worldly wisdom but it was Godly wisdom."

Hill then mentioned many people who were given wisdom to create things. He spoke of the great rocket scientist who came to Huntsville, Alabama. Wernher Von Braun was a rocket scientist who came to our city from Germany after the war. He helped Germany develop the V1 and V2 rockets. He was there to help NASA develop the rockets that would take the first astronauts to the moon. When they were testing the giant rockets, it was almost like an earthquake in Huntsville. I remember the sidewalk splitting next to my mother’s house near the porch. There was a three-inch gap from the porch to the sidewalk where it separated from the house because of the tremendous shaking of the ground while they tested the engines.

In Mark 8:36 it says, "What does it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul." One of my favorite news commentators was interviewed on the television and he said that he had no belief in God at all and he raised his children not to believe in God. My friend, I started praying for him right there. The Bible says, "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God."
"I want to get to the second point," continued Hill. "There are others today that have heavenly wisdom. That means that they are wise unto salvation and their influence shines brightly in the Spiritual world. These people have learned their spiritual ABCs. You have acknowledged that you are a sinner, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Believe that Jesus Christ has come to save and set you free. You have to confess Him as your Lord and Savior."

The mood was set for the altar call as Hill finished his message and once again people came to the front to repent. The three people who have been a staple in this revival were together once again: Pastor John Kilpatrick, Worship Leader Lindell Cooley, and Evangelist Steve Hill.

Evangelist Steve Hill said that the broadcast from the Brownsville Revival had a potential of reaching 80 million homes." The burden of this broadcast is on my shoulders. This is a risk because I am shouldering the burden of the finance for it." Hill asked for a miracle offering. He stated that the last time he was at the Brownsville Revival, the cost of the television was barely met by the donations given. Hill asked that people double their offering on February 7, 2003. "If there was ever a time the message needs to get out to the nation, it is now. A man who was in the World Trade Center on the 81st floor when the plane hit said, ‘It took an hour to go down the stairs. I was able to lead 20 people to the Lord before I reached the bottom of the towers. Since then I have preached His Word. I was struggling on how to do altar calls when someone sent me one of your videotapes.’ "This man has never been here," Hill emphasized. The letter continued, ‘It has made such a difference. Thousands have come to the Lord. You have been such a blessing to me - more than you will ever know.’ A man spared from the World Trade Center and is now preaching the gospel. This is what is happening in the broadcast."
